Cargo & James Earl Grey is a blend of the finest Keemun black tea flavoured with oil of bergamot creating the unmistakeable flavour of Earl Grey.
Earl Grey was the first tea that Tim Grover, founder of Cargo & James Tea, flavoured on his own. Tim was frustrated that he was only able to purchase dry, old Earl Grey that didn’t ‘burst’ with flavour. He decided he would try to flavour his own… to his suprise, the recipe took over a year to perfect, but once Tim figured it out, the Earl Grey recipe helped him understand the art of flavouring tea.
The tradition is carried on today and all batches of Cargo & James Earl Grey tea are freshly flavoured, packaged and shipped directly to our stores.
